New Madrid County Health Department can provide certified copies of birth and death certificates from the state of Missouri. Applicants must show identification when requesting certified copies of vital records at the local health department.

Birth Certificates

Certified copies of Birth Certificates can be obtained at our office while you wait. Certificates are available for any birth occurring in the State of Missouri after 1920. The cost for the certificates is $15.00 each. The New Madrid County Health Department will accept cash, debit/credit (In office only) or money orders only. NO checks. Debit/Credit transactions can not be made over the phone, as the person receiving the birth certificate has to sign for it. 

Death Certificates

Certified copies of Death Certificates can be obtained for any person whose date of death is after 1980. Death Certificates are $14.00 for the first copy and $11.00 for each additional copy, purchased at initial request. The New Madrid County Health Department will accept cash, debit/credit (In office only) or money orders only. NO checks. Debit/Credit transactions can not be made over the phone, as the person receiving the death certificate has to sign for it.
